OSCAR INDIA – Open Source Classes for Amateur Radio INDIA – is a nationwide initiative dedicated to promoting amateur radio and STEM education across India. Established as an initiative of the All India School of Management and Information Technology (AISMIT), OSCAR India operates under the Indian Trust Act, committed to advancing science and technology through free, open-source education.

Amateur radio, also known as ham radio, is a scientific pursuit that facilitates communication via radio waves. With growing global interest, particularly in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics), this field has gained new momentum. For over eight years, OSCAR India has expanded its presence to over twenty states, empowering individuals with radio communication skills.

We are honored to serve as the official training partner for the Nagaland State Disaster Management Authority (NSDMA), providing specialized training for officials and facilitating examinations through the Department of Telecommunications (DoT). Our efforts are not limited to youth; OSCAR India offers programs for government officials, bridging the gap between amateur radio and emergency communication.

In the last four years alone, we have trained over 2,400 students across India, a testament to the popularity and impact of our programs. We leverage platforms like Google Meet and our YouTube channel (over 207,510 views and 2.5k subscribers) to reach a broader audience with interactive sessions, sharing knowledge and updates.
